La Maison Eveil is an Institute for the adapted care of children, adolescents and young adults with psychical or mental disabilities.
LEARNING
Depending on the age and especially individual capacity, the work focuses either on basic learning: awakening to the recognition of shapes, colors, numbers and letters; or on the maintenance and further acquiring of basic academics: reading, writing and arithmetic.
Utilized supporting teaching tools may be pedagogical files, various documents or the computer.
Our MethodologyMETHODS
The care is based on psychological and pedagogical methods tailored to their slow learning difficulties, retention of verbal information. The material used is adapted to the difficulties of children and their culture.
Many behavioral programs and education are developed around the world (PECS, TEACCH, etc …). La Maison Eveil had chosen the TEACCH program (which we adapted to the local context), and gradually we are currently switching to the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA).
